Cynthia Wood and the staff of the Center for Community Career Education
have been awarded $58,911 from the Tennessee Commission on Children and
Youth to fund the Youth Investment and Prevention Project.

This delinquency prevention program will operate in the Bushtown community
for at-risk youth ages 10 to 16.  Program services will include academic
tutoring, career assessments and counseling, group mentoring, parent and
family support, volunteer opportunities, youth team building, and
activities that are designed to promote social, emotional, and personal
growth.

Congratulations to Ms. Wood on receiving the funding to implement this
project, and best wishes for its success.
