Dr. Deborah McAllister has been chosen to serve as a field reader for the
U.S. Department of Education's Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use
Technology grant review process.  Dr. McAllister served as a reader for the
first round of proposal reviews and now has been selected to read again to
choose the final awardees.

This grant program seeks to improve the way that teachers are prepared to
utilize technology for classroom instruction.  Dr. McAllister will be
reviewing proposals to implement technology preparation programs designed
in a collaborative effort by institutions of higher education and local
school systems.  Through these awards, teachers will become better prepared
to incorporate technology into classroom practices so that our nation's
students will be able to succeed in higher education and compete in the
increasingly technological job market.
