Dr. Roger Thompson of Criminal Justice was recently funded $5,573 by the
Chattanooga Housing Authority to conduct a security assessment of their
properties.  The security assessment will examine the level of security and
help the properties in crime prevention.  The survey team will also include
Drs. Helen Eigenberg and Jeffrey Rush as well as UTC personnel Larry Lyda
and Peter Symonds.  The survey team will inspect ways in which new
technology could assist or enhance security on the properties.

Congratulations to Dr. Thompson and his team members on being recognized for
their expertise to improve the security in the Chattanooga community.
