Dear Colleagues,
    Carolyn Smith Johnson, University Alumna and former employee, passed
away yesterday after a lengthy illness.
Carolyn served UTC in a number of different capacities having worked for
several years in the Financial Aid
Office and the Center for Community Career Education, and as an adjunct
faculty member in the College of
Health and Human Services. She served as one of the founders of and adviser
to our Adult Scholars Program and
was a very active volunteer with a number of community organizations and
agencies.

    The Rev. Dr. Patricia Cahill, Rector of Thankful Memorial Episcopal
Church and UTC Professor Emeritus, will
officiate at services for Carolyn to be held:
     Thursday, June 28 at 1 p.m. at Thankful Memorial Episcopal Church -
Ms. Johnson will lie in state one
            hour prior to the services

     Carolyn's family will receive friends tomorrow from 2-4 and 6-8 at
Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd
Chapel.

37203, or to your favorite charity in Carolyn's honor.
