One of our Knoxville colleagues, Richard Boring, Executive Director of
Audit for the University of Tennessee died yesterday morning of a heart
attack. He was 46 and he had not had any health problems or warning signs.
He was on a business trip in San Antonio, exercising alone in the hotel's
fitness center when the heart attack occurred. Funeral arrangements have
not yet been made. I know many of you knew Richard personally and wanted
you to know. Needless to say, we're all in shock.
