Dear Colleague,
On behalf of the organizers of the 23rd Annual C. S. Lewis Lecture I am
delighted to announce two pre-lecture sessions with our speaker, Prof.
Gilbert Meilaender, Ph.D. The lecture itself will take place at 7:30 p.m.
on April 4 in the Benwood Auditorium of the Engineering Building, and the
topic will be "Genes as Resources: A New Image of Humanity."
Earlier that day all faculty, staff, and students are invited to join Dr.
Meilaender for a brown-bag lunch in the Sequoyah Room of the University
Center from 11:30-1:00. The floor will be open for questions and comments
on bioethics.
The campus community is also invited to an open session with Dr. Meilaender
at 4:00 p.m. in the Flag Room of the Guerry Center. This discussion will
be hosted by the University Honors Program.
Dr. Meilaender, Professor of Christian Ethics at Valparaiso University, is
the author of eleven books. He also serves on the President's Council on
Bioethics. We are delighted to have Dr. Meilaender on our campus.
Sincerely,
Doug Kutz,
