We have recently received a question about a security email from Microsoft
that contains an attachment.  The message explains that a security update is
needed to fix some security holes.  The message also contains an attachment
labeled q216309.exe.  Please do not run the attachment.  It is the virus
[log in to unmask]  If you would like to read more about it, please copy the
following URL into your browser:
[log in to unmask]" target="_blank">http:[log in to unmask] .
An example of the message is as follows:
From: Microsoft Corporation Security Center
Subject: Internet Security Update
Message:
Microsoft Customer,
this is the latest version of security update, the update which eliminates
all known security vulnerabilities affecting Internet Explorer and MS
Outlook/Express as well as six new vulnerabilities
