This is a HOAX. In fact, it is #20 on the top 25 Internet hoaxes list at
about.com. This falsehood has been circulating the Net for almost 6 years.

Before anyone -- especially someone who is a high ranking safety and security
officer on campus -- forwards something like this -- it would be a really good
idea to check it out first to make sure it is for real -- not just say "who
knows ... it might work."
Also, before forwarding *anything* (even if verifiably true) to the list -- it
would be a really, really good idea to edit out the 49,735 or so extraneous
e-mail addresses where the message has been forwarded dozens of times before!
Not too many people are going to scroll down through screen after screen of
e-mail header junk to find your message at the very bottom....
