Please note that as of June 1, all non-resident alien UTC students have an
international student hold.  This hold should prevent students from
registering on-line or through the various registration areas on
campus.  Each student is required to verify specific information through
the International Student Services Office (258 Hooper Hall) and obtain a
signature from the international advisor before registering.  In my
absence, Linda Orth may sign an over-ride of the hold for graduate students
and Yancy Freeman may sign for undergraduate students.  All students in F-1
student status are required to enroll full-time fall and spring
semesters.  The few exceptions to this rule must be approved through the
international advisor.  Undergraduate students must enroll for at least
twelve semester hours and graduate students for nine semester hours.  The
new hold is in preparation for the upcoming changes or reporting mandated
by INS.

Non-resident aliens include all students who are not U.S. citizens by birth
or naturalization and resident aliens (green card holders).  I apologize
for the added processing time.
