The article in today's edition of the Echo refers to an example I gave in the Wellness Center site selection meeting regarding parking decal rates. I presented an example that showed what would happen to our parking capacity, new parking needs, and decal rates IF the following happened:

1. Campus expansion follows what is set forth in the master plan, both in terms of enrollment growth and new state-funded projects.

2. Decal sales had to SOLELY pay for new parking structures. I was trying to make the point that capital construction projects needed to reimburse the campus for lost parking when they build on former lots.

So please don't be alarmed.

Janet
