I took in an 8-year old Yorkshire Terrier about two months ago that needed
a new home. His owner was placed in a nursing home so a friend of mine
ended up with him and soon passed him on to me. Needless to say, after
having him for two months, I have realized that he is a bit needy and needs
more than I can give him at this time in my life. He is all of 13 lbs.,
house-trained, and he is a full-blooded Yorkshire Terrier and is as sweet
as they come. I have taken him to the vet and gotten all of his shots and a
heart worm preventative shot. I also had him treated with Frontline. He
loves to get a bath and he loves people more then he likes other dogs. The
problem is that he is so used to being home with someone all day that he
has become a lap dog. He has a lot of anxiety when he feels like you are
leaving without taking him with you. Needless to say, my long days at work
have not made him a happy camper! Honestly, if this dog was not so
precious, I would not have been able to deal with his anxiety issues as
long as I have. He tears at the heart strings!

I am saying all of this to say that I am looking for someone who wants a
lap dog or knows someone that would enjoy and love this little dog. He
truly needs to be with someone that is retired or someone that is home the
majority of the day. I do not want to place him in a home that has a
similar schedule as mine. That would only do him harm. He deserves someone
that can be there with him the majority of the time and that does not mind
having such a needy dog.

Please let me know if you would like to have this dog or if you know
someone that might be interested in providing him a happy home.

Thanks,
