The best idea I've heard yet.  Shorten Fall Break by one day (it's not a
full week like Spring Break anyway) and give an extra day at Thanksgiving.

Another possibility would be to do as Virginia Tech does ... no fall
break in October like ours, but the whole week of Thanksgiving off!
