We had a meeting last night with a few of the instructors and in our discussion I relalized that I forgot to mention to the UTC Family the people who helped us get where we are. 

Thanks to Dr. Monte Coulter. He is the man who made these kids the percussionists they are. They look to him for guidance and a sense of professionalism and committment. His approach is used on a daily basis and there is not a rehearsal that goes by without them using his techniques or talking with the high school kids about how great he is to work with. I should not be calling the UTC lines mine as he is as much a part of who they are as anyone. 

Thanks to the theory and composition profs who made it possible for the students to compose the music that we used as well as better prepare them to teach those compositions we purchased. And thanks to everyone in education who helped my student directors and teachers understand educational concepts and remember to be patient. 

Thanks to the principals and directors of Soddy Daisy, Central, McMinn, Ooltewah, Cleveland, Walker Valley, Ridgeland, Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe, Hixson, Bradley Central, Boyd-Buchannon, Redbank, Dade County, Gordon Central, Northwest Whitfield, (I know I missed some and I apologize) for letting us work with their students providing my students a chance to teach, perform, and create something special and initiating a model of educational partnerships that other university music programs will soon be utilizing.
