This is to let you know about the opening of a unique art gallery in
Flinstone, GA (just south of St Elmo.). The gallery is Faith/Works
Global Gallery. The gallery specializes in fair trade handcrafts
imported from Haiti, Nicaragua, Kenya and other developing countries
including: pottery, baskets, candle holders, garden art, metal
sculptures, turned wood, paintings, nativities, ornaments, soapstone
sculpture, musical instruments and more. The official gallery opening
will be on Friday 12/5 @ 6pm (just in time for Christmas shopping!).
Thereafter hours will be M-Thr. 11a-6p, Fri.& Sat. 10a-7p and Sun.
2p-5p. The gallery is about 10 minutes from downtown Chattanooga. To
get there take St Elmo avenue south through St Elmo. You will cross the
GA state line just before coming to a large convenience store/gas
station on the right. Just past the gas station Chattanooga Valley Rd
splits off the main road (which is now GA 193). Faith/Works Global
Gallery is on the right-hand side of Chattanooga Valley Rd less than a
mile from the split with GA 193. Here is a link to some more
information about Jeff & Beth Rogers who are the proprietors of this
gallery: http://chattanoogan.com/articles/article_43909.asp
