Just a quick note, before I have to go to my 10:50 class, to thank all the folks
who donated water, food, clothing, etc. for us to take to the victims of
Hurricane Katrina.
Our trip was a success ... more details to follow when I get a chance ... but
your generous donations (as well as those provided by Chereé's fellow realtors
from Crye-Leike) were delivered directly to the people of the tiny towns of
Baxterville, Lumberton, Pistol Ridge, and Carnes, Mississippi (between
Hattiesburg and the Gulf Coast). They were received graciously and with many
thanks by the residents, many of whom had little to call their own before the
storm hit.
Thanks again to all who pitched in!
Joe Dumas
