Let me clarify a few things about WebASIS, ASIS and Reflection.
1. Permission for use of ASIS and WebASIS is controlled by the Records
Office and requires going through training that is offered periodically
by the Teaching Resources Center.
2. WebASIS includes the common capabilities needed for typical
advising (student schedules, a download of majors, class rolls, RAP,
etc.). It does not include (at this time) specialized functions
like SEETOTS, the waiting list, or a number of other specialized
programs. If you use these specialized functions, then you will
continue to require use of Reflection. If you do not require use
of these specialized functions, then we need for you to begin to
use WebASIS and your access to Reflection will need to eventually
be eliminated. We will make further announcements about limiting
the use of Reflection at a later date, but please start using WebASIS
now.
3. Login to WebASIS requires the use of your first name and last name.
It will not try to guess who you are and ask you to choose the way
Reflection ASIS might. For example, I login with "Richard Gambrell".
Use a space, not a dash (Do not use "First-Last"). Most of the time,
a middle name or initial is not used. In rare cases, where there are
persons with similar first and last names on campus, a middle name
may be necessary.
4. You cannot log on to WebASIS if you are already in Reflection ASIS.
You have to log out (sign off or bye) in Reflection ASIS first.
5. Access WebASIS at https://secure.utc.edu/WebASIS/ Please bookmark or
save as a favorite link. For security reasons, this link is only listed
inside http://OneNet.utc.edu/ on the "My links" page and not elsewhere on
the UTC web site.
6. Students now have access to their own personal class schedules inside
http://OneNet.utc.edu/ using the "My Classes" link.
If you encounter problems using WebASIS, your first line of help is
the ITD Help Desk at 425-4000 or email [log in to unmask] Problem solving
can be complex due the multiple offices involved, so please be patient with
us.
Thanks,
Richard
