Please be aware that a new virus is circulating that claims to be from the
administrator of the current domain, in this case utc.edu. The email will
appear similar to:
Subject: your account <account info>
Body:
Hello there,
I would like to inform you about important information regarding your
email address. This email address will be expiring. Please read attachment
for details.
---
Best regards, Administrator
Attachment: message.zip
The attachment, when unzipped, can infect Windows based computers. After
infection, the virus scans the PC for email addresses and then forwards
those addresses to predefined accounts. I would assume this would allow
the author to sell those email addresses to companies that generate
"SPAM."

Please follow safe computing practices and do not open attachments from
unknown individuals and always perform a virus scan on attachments from
those you do know. UTC's campus-wide antivirus system has been updated to
catch this virus.
