To all instructors:
Don't forget to encourage your students to come to this semester's Psych
O'Cinema tomorrow (Tues.) at 5:30 pm in the Raccoon Mtn. Rm of the
University Center. The featured movie and discussion is "The Last Kiss"
which examines relationships: their development, and maintenance. It is
a very useful way of introducing the topic of intimacy and what makes up
true intimacy in long-term relationships. As you might expect,
commitment is a major theme. The additional cast of characters, however,
include Honesty, Fear of Aging, Fidelity, Communication, and
Expectations. Also, Risk-taking and Vulnerability (sacrifice without
knowing the results in advance) appear in special cameo roles.
You are welcome to come with your students and help with the discussion.
Hope to see you there!
