Congratulations!

U.S. News and World Report has released its 2003 issue "America's
Best Colleges" rankings and UTC is again ranked among the top public
master's level universities in the South.

"I am very proud of the achievements of the faculty, staff, and
students on this campus," said Chancellor Bill Stacy. "U.S. News and
other popular rankings offer a valuable resource to prospective
students and their parents, and it is important for UTC to score
well. More important, however, is the notion of the actual teaching,
research, service, and learning that occur on campus, and UTC
continues to deliver these at a tremendous level to Tennessee and the
region."

Among public master's level universities in the South, UTC ranks
11th. UTC scored the highest ranking of any public university in our
category in Tennessee (tied with Tennessee Technological University).
When ranking both public and private universities, in the South,
UTC's overall ranking is 35th.
