In "cutting and pasting" information for this announcement, somehow - I
guess because of the season - the ghost of a sentence from another
message popped in. My apologies!

My church, the Anglican Church of the Redeemer, is sponsoring a free
concert this Saturday November 3 at 3:00 PM featuring the Mizero
Children's Choir, a group of Rwandan orphans, many of whom lost family
in the 1994 genocide. The Chattanooga concert, part of the 2007 North
American Hope Tour, will be held at the Psychological Studies Institute
(old Central Presbyterian Church) at 1815 McCallie Avenue. The Mizero
Children's Choir is a world renowned group who perform Rwandan music and
dance in authentic costume. They are directed by Jean Paul Samputu, one
of Rwanda's top musicians and recent recipient of the Kora Award (an
"African Grammy"). The concert is free to the public, but there will be
an opportunity to make a contribution to help support the work of the
choir.

I feel that this event will be an excellent compliment to Ambassador
Andrew Young's film, Rwanda Rising, which was sponsored by the UTC
English Department and the Friends of Rwanda last month. Please spread
the word among students, churches, and community organizations. Links
to both the Mizero Children's Choir, and the Land of 1,000 Hills Coffee
Project are attached. There will be opportunities to purchase Rwandan
coffee and beautiful hand-made grass baskets. Please let me know if you
have questions or need more information about the event.
