I didn't want to leave campus tomorrow, Friday without saying good bye
to friends and fellow staff members. My three years with UTC has been
filled with many new experiences, laughter, sadness and a camaraderie
that can't be found any where else. This is family.

One of my life long goals has been to finish my college education. After
thirty years of waiting and with the support and encouragement of my
co-workers, I finally finished that goal and am now going on to the next
one, to teach school.  It means leaving the great state of Tennessee and
going to Florida. I know, I know, it's a hard way to go, but someone has
to do it!

I wish I could see each person who has been instrumental in providing
support and expertise during my journey of understanding UTC processes
and policy. Thank you for providing a nurturing environment. I shall
miss it and the faculty and staff who make it alive and vibrant.

The Center for Community Career Education has been the most excellent
experience of my life. Not only have lasting friendships been
established but I have become aware of and deeply committed to a whole
new world of education and its various "faces." The Center will be
celebrating 25 years in Chattanooga and surrounding areas on May 10th.
You will receive an invitation to join us for this occasion and I hope
you will take the opportunity to come see what we have accomplished and
are continuing to pursue for the sake of education.

Thank you for three wonderful years! I look forward to hearing great
things about UTC's impact on our world!
