I want to say thanks to our administrative assistants, who really help
us keep it going over here in Facilities.

 

Beverly McGowan is the one who most often answers your calls and emails
for help with toilet troubles, lights out, elevators not working,
termites flying, being locked out, need a key, etc.  This is not an easy
job, let me tell you.  We find that out most when she's not here...

 

Barbara Keegan is the one who backs Beverly up with answering the phones
and chasing down someone for help.  As most of you know, she's the one
who reserves motor pool vehicles for you, keeps them ready, and takes
those calls when someone is stranded or in fender-bender.

 

Sue Morris is our surplus guru, and the one who keeps up with the UT
asset inventory.  UTC is the only campus that does this centrally, and
the system folks tell us how much better it is run than on other
campuses.

 

Nancy Davis does our payroll, handles all those utility bills (by the
hundreds...), deals with the key system as well as the mail, travel,
etc.  Tracking down invoices and vendor questions takes a lot of
patience and Nancy is tenacious about it.

 

And last, but certainly not least, Sue Stephens, who has been with us in
Facilities for over 35 years and has really done it all.  She handles
all of the budget information for us and for Campus Police, and those
billing/transfer vouchers you all love so much.  So she often is the
first to get the questions when we've got it wrong!

 

We really could not function without these women.  Thanks to them all,
not only today, but throughout the year!
