As you may know, Dr. Robert Desmond, Dean of the College of Engineering and
Computer Science, has accepted a position as Dean of the School of Industry
and Technology at East Carolina University and will be leaving on August
1.  During Dean Desmond's three years with UTC, the College of Engineering
and Computer Science has made great progress.  It has been a pleasure to
work with him.  Please join with me in wishing him the best in his new
position.
