In celebration of National French Week, the Department of Foreign Languages
is sponsoring the activities listed below. All events are free and open the
University community.  Come enjoy! All events are in Brock 201 unless
otherwise indicated.

Wednesday November 7     Movie  "Taafe Fanga" (Skirt Power) 3:30 p.m.
      This 1997 film is a comedy from Mali.

Monday, November 12     Movie  "Les vacances de M. Hulot"  (Mr. Hulot's
Holiday)   8:00 p.m.
        This a classic French comedy from the 1940's.

Tuesday, November 13  Slide Lecture  "The Politics of French Furniture"
 3:00 p.m.

         A lecture with slides by Dr. Pedro Campa that will raise
             issues of gender and class as demonstrated by styles
             of French furniture in a historical context.
