Dear Colleagues,

We are very excited about some recent developments in the Counseling and Career Planning Center. Due to funds made available through a grant, we have acquired a Multimedia Workstation and are able to offer some new services to students. These include interactive programs that cover topics such as Study Skills, Career Self-exploration, Self-awareness, Time Management and Learning Styles. Other programs will be available in the near future.

Additionally, we will be expanding another interactive program we developed in-house to help students decide on a major at UTC. That's where many of you will be directly involved. We will be asking each academic department to help by arranging for a representive to be videotaped. The video content will be generated by responding to the statement, "What careers are related to the majors we offer?

We will contact each department over this semester, but feel free to contact us if you want to use this as an opportunity to get the word out about your department sooner rather than later.

Certainly, I hope you will refer students to the center so they can benefit from these resources and feel free to contact me if you want to come by and see what we're doing for yourself.
