Subject: [UTCSTAFF] Very Interesting "Point of View"

I believe one notice of this has gone out already, but I wanted to add note
about the upcoming "Point of View" hosted by our own Booker T. Scruggs and
appearing on WDEF-TV this Sunday at 6:00 am (broadcast channel 12, comcast
channel 13).

With the first anniversary of 9/11 coming up, the topic of discussion is the
effects of the tragedy on Muslim Americans in the U.S., especially college
students. I was involved in putting this together, so I was privileged to
sit in on the taping. It is a very interesting discussion that includes a
UTC student from Pakistan, and a close friend of mine who works with
International Students at another university.

Not only might it provide faculty/staff some new perpectives and
understanding, but could also be useful for classroom discussion in relevant
courses. I encourage you to watch the show or tape it. It also will appear
on the UTC cable channel at other times during the week.

Thanks,

Ed Smith
