Get a jump start on Halloween Wednesday. Come over to Cadek Hall (if you dare!) from 5-6 p.m. and hear the Cadek Flute Choir perform music to set the "spooky" mood. We will be performing a variety of things such as:
Second movement of Beethoven's Symphony 7 (dirge-like music)
Gounod's "Funeral March of a Marionette" (better know to us "boomers" as the theme music from Alfred Hitchcock's TV show)
Casper the Friendly Ghost
..and ending with the "Lacrymosa" from Mozart's "Requiem", which was the music heard at the end of the movie "Amadeus"(the graveyard scene).
The kids (and me!) will be in costumes (rumor has it that Jack Sparrow will be in attendance! -as in "Pirates of the Caribbean"), and there will be free treats (no tricks!-promise!) after the performance.
'Tis free, so come on over. We'll be done by 6, so you'll have time to do whatever it is you want to do for Halloween!
Boo!
