Hello Everyone,
Yoga will begin on September 4. We will meet in the Dance Studio of the
Arena. I am looking forward to this semester and am excited about starting
new classes.
Corporate Yoga, 12:00-12:30 PM, Tuesday and Thursday
This is a very low impact yoga that emphasizes flexing and stretching. You
will not need any special workout attire and it's alright to eat lunch
prior to class. These exercises aim to relax the body and mind in an
attempt to reduce stress. We also try to decrease lower back problems and
tension in the neck and shoulders. If you have any questions or concerns
do not hesitate to contact me.
Power Yoga, 7:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday and Thursday
Although this is also a low impact Yoga, these exercises emphasize strength
and toning. We will do extensive work on the hips, legs, arms, and
abdomen. You will need to wear comfortable workout clothes, with "keeping
cool" in mind. This is a difficult routine and does incorporate several
exercises which could be risky to anyone with lower back, knee, or hip
problems. We will start on a Level One and build to more difficult levels.
