Perhaps more savvy people than I can give me some idea of how to get past the end of this rope I have reached.
I purchased a home/office HP DeskJet Printer sometime in late Spr. or early summer (less than a year ago, anyway). A few weeks ago I changed the ink cartridge and it has refused to work since. Just blinks its little lights when I turn it on and will not print. I have re-replaced cartridge, re-installed printer software, etc., etc. to no avail.
The company who contracts with us to repair printers does not work on deskjets. The receipt needed in order to return it is missing in action. Ergo, I have what seems to be a perfectly good printer with either a minor problem that actually may be repairable for less than the cost of a new one or may simply be due to my poor skills and record with computer equipment.
Any suggestions as to how to make it work or how to get it back to the dealer for repair/replacement? Consider this your opportunity for a contribution to ease our budget woes, if only just a smidgeon.
Thanks,
ED
