Beth Crawford and Marilyn Willis have recently been awarded $60,000 from
the Tennessee Department of Education to continue the Governor's School for
Prospective Teachers during the summer of 1999.  The primary mision of the
Governor's School for Prospective Teachers is to encourage Tennessee's
brightest students to consider teaching as their profession.  The overall
focus of the school is to broaden students' perceptions about the exciting
challenges and pssibilities associated with the teaching profession.
