Good Morning:

Through UTC's membership in the Council for International Educational
Exchange, our faculty have the option of participating in CIEE's
18 International Faculty Development Seminars in June and July of
2003. These 1-2 week intensive overseas programs are specifically
designed for university faculty and administrators in an effort to help
stimulate initiatives towards internationalizing curricula. The seminars
are hosted by overseas academic institutions and feature lectures,
coordinated study tours, and opportunities to meet with scholarly
communities abroad. More than 2,200 academics have participated on the
seminars since 1990. CIEE has updated their seminars to reflect current
global issues and added three new seminars in New Zealand, South Korea, and
Taiwan. Other seminars being offered include: Australia, Brazil, China,
Croatia, Cuba, Hungary and the Czech Republic, India, the Netherlands,
Northern Ireland, Senegal, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, and Vietnam.
The application deadline is March 15, 2003, and space is limited, so please
apply early. Applications and seminar information can be downloaded
directly from their website at www.ciee.org/seminars.

You may get brochure or further information by contacting CIEE by telephone
at 212-822-2747 or toll free at 800-40STUDY ext. 2747, by e-mail at

coming by our office (302 Pfeiffer Hall) to review our copy of the brochure.
