Dear Colleagues,
       Just a reminder that on Sunday, May 4, at 2:00 p.m. in McKenzie
Arena over 800 of our students will become UTC's newest alumni.  The
speaker for that afternoon will be author, actress and producer, Fannie
Flagg.  Ms. Flagg's novel,  "Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop
Cafe," is being read by Chattanoogans in conjunction with the
Tale for One City Program,  and her address to our graduates is the first
of several community-wide "conversations"  she will have during a brief
visit to our area.

A reception honoring our graduates, their families and friends, will be
held in Maclellan Gymnasium immediately following the commencement
exercises. Please plan to join in celebrating the accomplishments of our
Spring, 2003, graduating class.
