I incorrectly stated that applications for Faculty Development Grants do
not need the department head's and dean's signature. Under the new
guidelines, Faculty Development Grants are to function similarly to Faculty
Research Grants and THUS WILL NEED THE COMMENTS AND SIGNATURE OF THE
DEPARTMENT HEAD/DIRECTOR/SUPERVISOR. I take this to mean that most faculty
will need just the department head or director's signature (not the dean's
also) while department heads/directors would need the comments and
signature of the dean. I hope I have this straight now, and I'm sorry for
the confusion.
