Knowledge ALIVE
Leadership Chattanooga is sponsoring a project called Knowledge ALIVE to
encourage area professionals, artists, writers, professors, scientists,
engineers-virtually people from all professions and walks of life-to
volunteer to talk with students in area schools about their areas of
expertise and professions. The project will create a database of these
individuals (with background on their areas of expertise) that will be
made available to Hamilton County teachers (who will then be able to
identify speakers for their classes to mesh with particular
lessons/discipline areas, etc.). This project will benefit the children
of Hamilton County and help link the community with the school system in
a unique way.
