Ms. Felicia Lowe, graduate student in Nursing, was recently awarded $8,197
from the U. S. Department of Defense to conduct research under the
supervision of Dr. Dana Wertenberger.
Ms. Lowe's project is titled "Identifying Competency Skills of PROFIS
Personnel." In her research, Ms. Lowe will determine the individual
medical readiness of the professional fillers (PROFIS) personnel assigned
to the 1st Medical Brigade. Also, she will attempt to identify any
differences that exist in the competencies of the fixed facility compared
to those of the combat support units. This research will hopefully result
in a continued effort to develop nursing expertise in this area.
Congratulations to Ms. Felicia Lowe for her work to provide improved
training for military nurses, and congratulations to Dr. Werternberger
for encouraging and assisting with student research.
