Dear Colleagues:

Once again I seek your assistance in identifying student candidates for an
internship program through The Washington Center. Last semester, many UTC
students expressed and interest in this opportunity. Three students were
accepted by TWC, and two of them have accepted internships for this spring.

Through our affiliation with TWC, our students can secure substantive
internships at any of the thousands of organizations - governmental, profit
and non-profit - with which the Washington Center maintains ties. Students
will earn course credit, while The Washington Center will provide placement,
supervision, academic courses and housing - all at a very reasonable cost.
The experience is open to all majors.

To be eligible, a candidate must be at least a rising second-semester
sophomore (2nd-semester sophomore during the internship) and have a minimum
GPA of 2.75. I invite you to nominate qualified students by sending the name
and contact information to me by the deadlines listed below. Once again, the
opportunity is open to all majors.

Deadlines:
Term Security Clearance Competitive Placement Regular Deadline
Summer 2004 N/A January 26 3/1
Fall 2004 January 19 4/19 5/31

If you would like more information about The Washington Center and its
programs, you can find it at <http://www.twc.edu>. Feel free to contact me
at 425-4515.

Thank you for your assistance.
