Hello.

By now everyone on campus should have received the 2002-2003 Fine Arts
Center brochure, designed with help from April Cox at University
Relations,(Thanks, April), your guide to the myriad of activities available
to you at our "Center for the Arts" at UTC. If you have not checked your
campus mail by now, please do. If you have not received a copy of the
brochure in your box, we suggest you come to the lobby at the Fine Arts
Center and pick one up. You will want to keep this all year, as it features
not only the Patten Series, but also information about all of the major
events currently planned for this school year.

To new faculty and students:
We know you will be amazed at the choices you have for high quality
entertainment here in Chattanooga. And you need look no further than the
Fine Arts Center. Our showcase Series, Patten Performances, is the local
gem of professional entertainment. With music, theatre, dance and family
programming, it offers the broadest and finest blend of events.

We are happy to inform you about the Departments of Visual Arts, Music and
Theatre, and the brochure includes information about the Burkett Miller, C.
S. Lewis and Take Five lectures as well.

Now that you have a comprehensive listing of our events, we hope this
brochure will help you plan your arts calendar and contact us right away.
You can call us at 425-4269, send the form back to us with a check made
payable to the UTC Fine Arts Center (or use your Visa or Mastercard), you
can fax us at 425-5249, or you can order your tickets online at
www.utc.edu/finearts. We receive an e-mail with your order, and box office
personnel will contact you to verify your order.

Remember that employees of the University receive an even bigger discount
on subscriptions and individual tickets:

______ 9-show package at $98 per seat

______ 8-show package at $92 per seat

_____ 7-show package at $84 per seat

_____ 6-show package at $75 per seat

_____ 5-show package at $64 per seat

(Students: You pay only $7 for a regular Patten Series event. That is less
than the price of a movie these days.)

The King's Singers Concert and When the Spirit Moves are separate from the
regular subscriptions, so please make note that you receive discounts on
your tickets to those events.

Special note:
Check out Cable Channel 3 at 10 pm tonight or Friday for our Patten
Performances infomercial, produced by Chris Willis and our video
prouduction tem. Thanks, Chris, for your fine work.

With the Fine Arts Center performances, featured events off campus and
residency activities, we believe this will be the most exciting Patten
Series season ever presented by the Fine Arts Center. Thanks for your
patronage. We look forward to having you with us.
