Diane Halstead asked me to forward this to the campus:

I'd appreciate an announcement to the UTC community about the sudden
evacuation of our Soddy Daisy home on N. Chickamauga Creek. The
massive erosion caused by last year's flood and Hurrican Ivan has
rendered our home uninhabitable. A major gas line break in the middle
of our evacuation also caused lots of damage and the near death of our
dog. The house will probably be condemned. Unfortunately, neither
homeowner's insurance nor our flood insurance covers losses from
erosion. We could use a few prayers and positive thoughts... Huge
thanks to our UTC colleagues who worked so hard in our move and
provided so much help, including Dr. Bento Lobo, Dr. Vance Lesseig, and
Dr. Chris Brockman, all of the Dept. of Finance Dept., and Dr. Michael
Jones of Marketing and Entrepreneurship (and many more who've offered).
As always, thanks to my boss, Dr. Larry Ettkin, for continued support.
