Just to let all know that the ACES (Adventures in Computers, Engineering,
and Space) camp is going on this week. The 7th and 8th grade girls will be
enjoying activities in Grote Hall, the green space around campus, the
Challenger Center, and the pool. You may also see them on their way to the
Arena for breakfast and dinner. Please welcome them to UTC and ask them how
ACES is going.
We are excited about the opportunity to run this camp again this year. Last
year's experience went well and we have enjoyed working with those girls
throughout the year. They will be joining this new group of 24 girls on
Thursday for some fun activities and a career session with women in industry
from the Chattanooga area.
We appreciate the support the NSF provides, as well as the support from UTC,
Girls Incorporated of Chattanooga, the Challenger Center, and the community
to help make this program available to the 7th and 8th grade girls of the
Chattanooga region.
