On Global Bifurcation Theory of Polynomial Dynamical Systems

Abstract. Two--dimensional polynomial dynamical systems are considered and
the main problem of qualitative theory of such systems is discussed:
Hilbert's sixteenth problem on the maximum number and relative position of
limit cycles.
