RE: Homestays for visiting Japanese students from Nagoya University of
Foreign Studies
Next month 28 students, 3 faculty members, and the Dean of International
Programs from Nagoya University of Foreign Studies (NUFS), one of our
foreign exchange partners, will be coming to UTC for three weeks. They
will arrive at UTC Friday afternoon, July 29th and leave Saturday, August
21st. During their stay at UTC, the students from NUFS will be taking
intense English classes taught by Jane Womack and her staff in the ESL
Institute on campus.
The first week that the NUFS students are in Chattanooga they will be
staying in our residence halls, but the second week (August 8th-August
15th), they have asked to stay in American homes to get a taste of American
home life. I am looking for families who would like to host one or two
students for a week. If you are interested, please contact me either by
email (responding directly to me and not RAVEN) or call me at 755-4735.
Thank you.
