It is an exciting time for the University Center as we hurry for a limited
opening on August 15.  We are very excited about having the building open
soon for our students, faculty, and staff to enjoy the new food service
area.  In order to open the building on time many people are working around
the clock to make this possible.  To assist in the opening and in the
interest of safely we ask that our campus community refrain from attempting
to enter the building until the 15th of this month so that workers can get
all of the last minute details completed.

The University Center Staff including Shannon Smith, Nicole Stewart, and
Justin Holland will be moving on Monday and will be temporarily without
phone or e-mail.  Their main phone and fax line should be operational in
the new location by Tuesday morning.  They will not be able to process
reservations requests next week during their move.  At this point all
reservation requests are still tentative until we know the rooms are
finished and ready for occupants.

A special thank you goes out to all of the people that are working hard to
ensure the building can be partially opened for the beginning of school
including the staff of  J & J Contractors, Facilities Management,
University Center, University Center movers, Information Technology, and
Aramark.

We appreciate the campus cooperation and patience so that we can begin the
new school year with a new and improved University Center.
