Congratulations to Dr. Elizabeth Guthrie, who has received a research
contract from the The Ohio State University Research Foundation in the
amount of $19,992.

These funds will support research in collaboration with Dr. Patrick Hatcher
of The Ohio State University (OSU), who received funding from the U.S.
Office of Naval Research (ONR).  Drs. Guthrie and Hatcher will study
chemical processes related to biodegradation, aging, and incorporation of
metabolites in marine sedimentary organic matter.

Dr. Guthrie is the first faculty member at UTC to conduct this kind of
research for the Office of Naval Research.  Please join the Office of
Grants and Program Review in expressing our appreciation to Dr. Guthrie for
bringing this collaboration with OSU and ONR to our institution.
