Someone "generously" left a litter of 7 puppies on my street last weekend.
Since I live in the country, in an area with copperheads, rattle snakes,
coyotes and fast drivers, I did not think it was wise to leave the pups
roaming on their own.
They look to be a mix of lab, American bulldog (there are American bulldogs
in the area), possibly bird-dog / pointer and ??? breeds. They are mostly
black with white markings on the heads, chests and paws. They are probably
7 to 8 weeks old. Pictures are available to anyone who would like to view
the pups. There are 3 males (one of these may already have a new home) and
4 females.
I am working to de-flea and de-worm them, however with 3 dogs (one with
health problems) and 3 cats, I cannot keep them. If you are looking for a
puppy or know anyone who is, please contact me via e-mail. Also, if you
know of any organizations that are currently open to taking puppies please
let me know. (I mean organizations that work to find homes rather than use
euthanasia as a "solution".) So far, every organization I have contacted is
"full" right now.
Thanks!
