There is a new movie coming out this week that has the potential to be
very impactful on the audience. This move is called the Music in Me. The

This movie is about a soldier who loses his hearing in the war then
returns to a community that continuously tells him he can not and should
not be living his life as he chooses. The movie addresses issues of
tolerance, law, politics as they relate to disabilities. I would
encourage you to take the time to watch the movie and recommend that
your students go see it as well. A movie like this can only help us in
our quest to become an embracing culture for people with disabilities. 

 

*Also-The sponsored Psycho-Cinema will be tonight at 5:30 in the Raccoon
Mountain Room. We will be showing Million dollar Baby which also deals
with disability issues. 

 

* OSD Trick or Treat Open House will take place on October 31st from
11:00AM to 2:00 PM. Please come out and see all the fun things we have
going on and pick up a treat for yourself.

 

As we come to the close of disability awareness month, there are a few
