The Chattanooga Community Kitchen feeds the homeless and those living on
the fringes. The number of meals being served is up 20% over last year at
this time, and the budget is smaller.

They are in desperate need of canned vegetables.  They would like the big
#10 food-service size cans, but will take any and all donations.  If you
can help, I will be glad to pick up things from your office, or you can
take them directly to the community Kitchen at 727 East 11th street (across
from the farmer's market).  They are open to accept donations every day
from 8 to 5.

P.S. - it takes 8 of the #10 cans, or about 80 regular cans of veggies for
one lunch...They feed between 100 and 160 people at each meal.
