The Walker Teaching Resource Center is sponsoring a seminars this week on
grade inflation.
Spiraling Grades: Is Inflation More than an Economic Term?
Tuesday, October 30, 2001, 10:00 - 11:00 am, Sequoyah Room
Does grade inflation exist at UTC? What does the research say about what
causes it? What can faculty do to prevent it? Is it even a "bad" thing?
This seminar is designed to present some general information about grade
inflation and provide a forum for discussion about grades, grading, student
outcomes and grading criteria in general.
This is the last time this seminar will be offered this semester. If you
would like to have this seminar conducted in your department, please
contact me.
