On Monday March 18th at 7:00pm, the Spanish film series presents the sequel to
Nueba Yol--- Nueba Yol III-- Bajo la nueva ley (Nueba Yol III-- Under the New
Law) This is a Dominican Republican film (1997)by Angel Muniz and is in
Spanish with English subtitles.  It is approximately 104 minutes long.


Balbuena (Luisito Marti) goes back to New York.  Though the third film in the
series, it is actually the second film about Balbuena's experiences as an
immigrant in the United States.  Just as in the first film, the dominant
themes are the Dominican viewpoint on life in New York and the struggles
immigrants face.  This comedy/drama is considered by reviewers to be better
than the first Nueba Yol.
