The good:
Late last week, our folks put the finishing touches on the 1999 catalog
year format for the RAP sheet and activated 1999 catalog RAP sheets,
with new general education, for several majors.  We are in the process
of updating other majors now, roughly in order of headcounts by major,
to bring them to 1999 compliance.

The bad:
We starting experiencing some mysterious "hangs" in the RAP system which
cause it to cease processing and go into a loop.  This has happened
several times over the past few weeks and is probably due
to some bug introduced with the 1999 changes.  We can fix this rather
quickly once it is apparent that the problem is occurring, but it
takes the system 5 minutes to determine this automatically (or a phone
call from a user waiting on their RAP sheet to find out manually).
Please bear with us as we try to track down the source of this rather
annoying problem.

The ugly:
The RAP system hung up sometime late Friday afternoon after office hours
and this wasn't discovered until this morning.  Our apologies to
anyone that may have tried to get a RAP sheet in that timeframe.
