To Faculty and Staff:
As the semester draws to a close, you are certainly going to be
encountering students who are concerned about their academic
performance this semester. One resource you might suggest is the Study
Smart Presentations by the Counseling and Career Planning Center.
These were very favorably received by the students who attended at the
beginning of this semester, and we plan to present them again early in
the Spring.
Study Smart is a brief overview of key principles found to be
helpful for academic success. The participants are exposed to a wide
variety of strategies and principles and made aware of more in-depth
resources available at the Counseling Center and other offices on
campus.
Encourage those students who you think may benefit to be on the
lookout for publicity announcing specific dates, times, and locations
early next semester.
Then have an enjoyable, safe, and well-deserved holiday break.
